Jonathan Alder enjoys a considerable reputation as a most distinguished and sought after accompanist with such world renowned artist as Christa Ludwig, Dame Gywneth Jones, Lucia Popp, Cheryl Studer, Francisco Araiza, Hans Sotin and Placido Domingo
Also Chamber music concerts amongst others with Pierre Founier and Viktor Trejakov have taken him worldwide. Jonathan Alder has worked closely since 1989 with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and in particular with Claudio Abbado. Indeed his first engagements with the Berlin Philharmonic being also Sir Simon Rattle´s debut, as guest conductor with the orchestra. Jonathan has made numerous recordings for radio and TV. also many CD´s amongst others with the chamber music group from the Berlin Philharmonic “10 Philharmonische Geigen“.
Jonathan Alder, distinguished, as a Professor of Music ( Lied Interpretation & Oratorio) at the Salzburg, “Mozarteum” (1989-1993) later joined the faculty at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
